Alathea Bible College is inter-denominational, and in Siyabuswa, South Africa.
‘Alathea’ is Greek for ‘truth.’ Jesus was full of ‘alathea and grace’, and fulfilment of his great commission in Matthew 28:20 needs those who have found the Truth; who have been set free to live in the Truth, and are equipped to proclaim the Truth!
It is our desire at ABC by the Holy Spirit’s empowering to do just that! To help those who called by God, or who are testing their call in pastoral or lay-leadership, to be deeply impacted by the Truth and confidently lead others to know it and to live it. The dual emphasis of a Bible & skills training college demonstrates our commitment to sound Biblical knowledge and understanding, and practical equipping for the work of the ministry.
We accept students from all backgrounds who have matriculated and have competence in speaking and writing English.
ABC has attempted to meet the great need for ‘low cost, high quality Bible college education.’ Our faculty serves voluntarily , and comes from the UK, USA, Africa and other parts of the world.
We offer Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas and potentially under-graduate degrees in Church leadership. You will find a faculty that loves Jesus, has wide experience of serving and church planting and desires to see the Kingdom of God extended in hearts and communities.
Siyabuswa, in the Zulu—Ndbele heartland of Mpumalanga, is the headquarters of Hope For Africa Mission, which founded ABC. Hope for Africa was established in 1992 to church plant and extend the work of the Gospel holistically throughout southern Africa, through relief and community development. We are two hours from Johannesburg airport and one and a half from South Africa’s political capital, Pretoria.
