REinspired

REinspired is our schools work project in Earley and East Reading which Park United Reformed Church has been involved in since the very beginning. It is an ecumenical project which seeks ‘to support schools in delivering the RE curriculum and engaging with pupils in their spiritual development.’

The project has expanded since 2001 and we aim to reach every primary school child in every primary school in Earley and East Reading. Several REinspired members have written a book (published by BRF) in order to help others develop this effective way of working with schools; it is a great model that other groups of churches may like to utilise.

Park United Reformed Church has a number of volunteers who regularly welcome children from Alfred Sutton Primary School into the church. Our volunteers also help run sessions with Redlands Primary School, Earley St Peter’s Primary School, Aldryngton Primary School and Newtown Primary School. Carrie King is currently the team leader for Newtown Primary School and Hillside Primary School.

REinspired is spreading to other parts of Reading (Woodley, Caversham, Southcote) and to other towns including Oxford, Luton, Bristol.
