Welcome to Park United Reformed Church

Park Church has been at the heart of the East Reading community since 1907—over a century of faith, fellowship, and service. Alongside being a place of worship; we are a vibrant hub where people of all ages and backgrounds can find belonging, support, and spiritual nourishment.

Our mission is to “Celebrate the Past and Build for the Future”, sharing the message of Jesus Christ with all generations. We are committed to spiritual growth, community outreach, and creating a world where dignity, respect, and care for creation are at the forefront of everything we do.

A Thriving Community Hub

At Park Church, we offer a wide range of programs and events that bring people together in faith and fellowship:

  • Worship & Spiritual Growth: Sunday Worship, Prayers, Bible Studies, and S.A.L.T. (Sharing And Learning Together), Youth Group.
  • Outreach & Community Initiatives: We collaborate with the ACT Foundation for our Community Kitchen, supporting those in need. We also take part in the East Reading Festival, our yearly Christmas Fair (raising funds for local, national and global charities), and other events like our Summer Fair and Book Sales—all open to everyone.
  • Supporting Local Groups: We provide a home for uniformed organisations such as Scouts, Guides, Rainbows, and Squirrels, along with 12-Step Fellowship groups and even a Snooker Club.
  • A Welcoming Space for All: Our church building is used by other worshipping communities and groups for meetings, gatherings, and events, strengthening our commitment to inclusivity and shared faith.

Celebrating Our History & Looking to the Future

In 2023, we proudly celebrated 100 years of worship, a testament to our enduring faith and dedication to serving East Reading. As we step into the future, our vision remains clear:

  • Spiritual Growth: Strengthening the faith and fellowship of our worshipping community.
  • Outreach & Advocacy: Expanding our presence in East Reading, reaching those in need, and standing against injustice, oppression, and hardship.
  • Sustainable & Welcoming Space: We are proud holders of the Silver ECO Church award from A ROCHA, and we strive to make our church an eco-friendly, well-maintained, and welcoming place for generations to come.

Park United Reformed Church is more than just a building—it is a family, a place of hope, and a beacon of faith in our community. We warmly welcome you to join us, whether in worship, service, or fellowship.

Come and be part of our journey—there’s a place for you at Park Church!
